This guide is intended to help you create a MyCareer player in NBA 2K16 that best fits your play style. There are attribute caps for every position and height this year. Generally, the taller your player is, the slower you run on the court. But there’s more into that.
Scoring style is another key factor that will determine your MyPlayer’s attribute limits. There are three categories to choose from, and each is considered a specialization. An Outside player will have more emphasis on shooting 3 pointers and mid-range, Inside player is more on layup, dunk, hook shots and post fadeway, while Balanced is a mixed between the two. The factor of weight is quite controversial this year*.
We created a database for all the attributes caps depending on your position and play style and height that’ll help you create your ideal MyPlayer.

Taller players will have both advantages and disadvantages. The taller you are, the lower your speed, acceleration, and ball handling will cap out. The taller you are, the higher your blocks, rebounding, and post game will cap out. For example, a 6’7” PG (max height) will be the slowest of all PGs and have weaker dribbling than shorter ones but might be better at rebounding.
*The reason why the caps don’t make sense is because ideally the taller you are the faster you are as long as your the same weight, like someone 6’10” 220 lbs is gonna be faster than a 6’6 220 person because their strides are longer. Being taller only makes you slower if you weigh more also.
